Remington FC1000 Reveal Facial Cleansing Brush - Review
October 19, 2017The facial cleansing brush by Remington is one of those products you think you don`t need. Until you start using it.
About the Brush
There are two brush versions for men and for women, the one for women comes in a beautiful mint color. And the man`s comes in black. In the past year i have spotted the brush in a two more colors: Gray and Fuchsia pink.
What is in the box:
In the box you get the brush plus 3 brush heads.
- Normal brush head - for normal skin for everyday deep cleansing(The all white head on the image above/ in the middle).
- Sensitive brush head - for sensitive skin for gentle daily cleansing(The head with mint border and white/ on the right).
- Massage brush head - for deep cleansing and revitalizing dull, tired skin(The silicone mint head/ on the left).
There is also exfoliating brush head sold separately.
How it works:
The brush has three speed modes. Depending on your skin type and how rough you want you cleansing to be. The brush has one minute timer and it turns off by itself after the minute is up. The minutes is separated into 3 - 20 second intervals for each zone of your face (t-zone, and left and right side if the face) and it pulsates when the 20 seconds are up, so you know when to change zones. Depending on the speed you choose the led indicators will light up as follows - for the 1st speed there will be one indicator, for the second two and for the third all tree.
Good thing to note is that if you press the brush against your skin too hard, the sensor will shut the brush down, not letting you harm your skin.
The brush is cordless and waterproof, which makes it useful under the shower. Due to the vibration and rotation of the brush, the cleansing is deeper than manual and it helps your skin absorb skin care better.
The brush has li-ion rechargeable battery and full charge will take up to 6 hours, and is good for 30 uses. You can spot when the battery dies, because the brush gets slower than usual and stops after 1 or 2 intervals, also the indicator lights will light up for a bit longer and then turn off. I try to use up all of my battery life before recharging. But if you don`t have time for the full charge, worry not Remington has your back. You can charge it for 30 minutes and you are good for up to 5 uses, not much but its still something.
When I started using the brush i was shocked to discover that my skin was still dirty after cleansing it with make up remover and washing it with gel. A vast majority of the product was still on my skin, even though i wear only BB cream (by Nivea), imagine the horror if it was foundation.
The brush has ergonomical shape and is comfortable to hold, even if you are a leftie.
Results:
I was really skeptical when I bought mine almost two years ago. I bought mine with a promotion from Lilly drugstores in Bulgaria, it was half the price and this was the push i needed to go and buy it.
When I first brought it home i was surprised by how soft the brush was, it was the brush head for normal skin. I had acne scars on my forehead, within a month of using the brush i started noticing that the scars started fading. Now, I have to admit that mine were from picking the zits and therefore a lot of my scars were brownish. My regime was and still is:
Daily washing my face with a gel and the sensitive brush head, usually at night. And two or three times a week washing my face with the scrubbing brush head.

*The effect hid some of my scars on my forehead, but you can still see the situation was not good.

The scars are still there, but they are now faded.
I was so surprised by how well the brush worked that i ended up buying electric toothbrush. The one struggle i have with the product (which is local) is that i find it hard to find replacement brush heads.
In conclusion
I would highly recommend buying the brush. I am highly satisfied by the performance of the brush and i am looking to buy some other products by the Reveal line.
